Transparent Background?

Hi guys and thanks for a good program.

What I am wondering is if I can save (export) my file in any normal picture format and retain a transparent background. I keep trying to paste it into or open the file in Open Office version of Power Point and it's not working.

Perhaps the Powerpoint can't handle transparent images but I don't think this is true due to the structure of some cliparts.
