Is it possible make an arbitrarily oriented text?

Hello folks,

I am wondering if it is possible to make a line of text oriented in an arbitrary angle? The reason I want 
this is to make a message aligned with an oblique arrow. Moreover, I think this is a very useful feature for 
adding text to a diagram, unless there is a very good reason not to make text oblique in a diagram, which I 
don't know of and would love to hear.
