Dia 0.97.1 is already capable of opening Visio *.vdx files (The "modern"
and documented Visio format)
Visio's *.vsd format is undocumented and therefore unsupported by Dia.

Visio supports a number of other file formats for various purposes. If
you are looking for
other Visio files to be supported (besides *.vdx and *.vsd) - which file
types would you like to see supported?
