I use Dia for such things frequently, and in my mind the greatest
advantage of Dia is that it's very free-form.  Dia doesn't attempt to
enforce specific ways to create diagrams, so if your way of doing them
is slightly different, Dia does not get in the way. Also, Dia is very
lightweight and fast to learn compared to Visio, ArgoUML, and MagicDraw.
