There are no plans to remove the support for XPM. This commit was just 
cleaning the repository of duplicate files in different formats. Almost 
everything in the Dia tree is using PNG for quite some while.

There simply was no need to keep the XPMs around in every checkout but not 
use them or put them in the tarball.
