Hi, I have created a lot of PNG file (similar to the attached one) for
use in Visio. I have just tried Dia, but it seems that Dia does not
support transparency if the shape and connector line are in one layer.
If we connect the shape with a line in the same layer, the line always
reside outside the unseen box. If we move the shape to a layer above
the line, then we can see that Dia actually capable to support
transparency.
Is transparency supported on the current Dia ? (I'm using Ubuntu 7.04,
with Dia 0.96.1)
If not supported now, I wonder if you could support it in the next
release of Dia ?
If it's supported, I will share all my 'jelly icon' for the Dia
community ! :)
Transparency is supported for images, but I've never tried having an
image in a shape. However, I believe *none* of the current exporters
support transparency, so you'd lose it if you try to print, for example.
