PyGtk for Dia?

Hi,
I am attempting to make dia + python bindings work on Windows Vista.
I installed Dia 0.96-1.7, Python 2.2, but can't seem to find an appropriate version of pygtk.
pygtk for python2.3 seems to be the earliest available.

None of these seem easy to compile - Hans' warning on this not being for the faint of heart was
received loud and clear!

I didn't find anything on the mailing-lists. 

Wondering if anyone can help point me in the right direction.
