In the insert -> Object menu I can only find html object like plugin,
applet, sound; plus OLE object (but I think this is a Windows feature)
and the Formula plugin.

I don't think there is any usable item in this menu.

May be a solution a plugin that keep exported a raster version of the
diagram and the import of this image like a linked image? Is there any
plugin of this kind?

Is there anyway to include a Dia diagram in an OpenOffice.org

My purpose is to add a diagram into a document with the ability to
edit it reopening Dia but without rexporting/importing it.
Can it be inserted as an object?

I had a go at trying to embed a Dia file (v95-1) into OpenOffice (v2.1)
with Win XP and came up blank with the conventional ways of doing it
through OOo's Insert menu. Maybe there is a mailing listee that has
nother approach.

Under Windows, an OLE interface I think is the right thing -- not
something I can do, but maybe somebody more familiar with Windows.

For Unix (Gnome), Bonobo used to be the thing for embedding, but it is
apparently dead now. The IPC functionality has apparently been replaced
by DBUS, but I don't know what the new embedding system would be.
Somebody did Bonobo for Dia many versions ago, but I don't think it ever
got to quite work.
