Interesting. I like where this is going. Of your four choices, I would
pick #1, though think docking various other windows like layers is
higher on my priority list.
Yeah, i also thought about that recently and therefore initiated a
gtk-only/win32 port of gdl, the docking library used by the Anjuta
IDE. ("gdl-gtk" branch of module "gdl" in gnome cvs). Johannes from
the anjuta team did most of the work.
I'll see if I get time to ponder
outstanding patches this weekend.
