Hi Bobby,
Shapes created with .shape xml files have a default behaviour like the size at creation and the text font
size.
If you want to create shapes that have a different behaviour, you'll have to write an extension to Dia in C
language. This is the way to totally control how your object behaves. You'll then be able to change the
creation size and also the font size when your element is resized.
As you surely guess, it's not as easy as exporting .shapes from Dia. I hope it helps ...
