scaling of shapes when inluding

Hey,

when i include my own created shapes in a drawing, they seem out of 
scale. I was creating them on the assumption to fit in a box of 1 x 1 
(cm i assumed). On the drawing every shape seem to have its own size, 
somehow. Can i predefine the including size and how can i prevent icons 
from resizing, if possible?
