zoom <-> size on screen

Hey,
I mentioned, that the zoom of 100% doesn't meet the real size on paper
by far. To my understanding, if I set zoom to 100%, it should appear on
the screen in nearly "real" size.
How can that be fixed/ Are there any plans to improve that?
