At least some versions of Visio provide an Enhanced MetaFile (EMF)
stream with a usable picture in - you could try using my emf_decode tool
at http://public.logica.com/~redferni/emf to decode them into Dia
format.

I have been working on the Visio file format, but it's pretty evil -
it's possible to identify some parts of the file and some shapes, but it
will take a lot of effort to fully decode it.
