shapes and sheets

Hey, 

I'm sure this question has been asked a million times, but I couldn't 
really find the answer to my question in the archives.

I installed a local copy of dia 0.90 and after a failed attempt to create 
my own shape and sheet, tried to simply cut and paste the example from the 
documentation.  This is the std err output when I start up dia:

I followed the instructions (created files in ~/.dia/shapes/Sample and 
~/.dia/sheets) and cut and pasted the example.  Anyone know what the 
problem might be?
