Would someone be kind enough to upload a snapshot of the
environment for compiling dia under windows? I would
volunteer to make it into something that is easier to use!
Maybe a list of the versions of the dlls that are needed,
where they can be gotten from?
By the sounds of things, I think this would be a very good
idea for all concerned, especially if you could help out with
this, James. Perhaps this could calm everything down again? :)
Please see my email on the intent to compile with mingw. Many packages
have been ported. I will put the time into gettin dia ported.
People have also ported bonobo to windows.
Then we can use debian as a host, maybe even test inside a wine module.
In any case I volunteer to pick up the win32 port from hans. I will be
providing you with a near daily build from win32 and the cvs.
If any one of you has ever compiled DIA under win32, could you please
please provide me
the vs5.0 environment as a tared file.
The only thing I really need is a set of source code that are know to
work. I have yet to see that somewhere.
And of course, noone is forced to provide support, I dont want support
perse, just the working source code and the scripts to build from it.
I will be looking into the instructions from tor and getting gtk+ to
build first, then I can look into dia.
Sorry to cause such an problem on the list, but something is going to
have to break here, there is something wrong about how this win32 port
is being distributed.
Best regards,
Mike
