Hi,
I get the following error when I try to run dia 0.90
dia: error while loading shared libraries: dia: undefined symbol:
unicode_init
I have libunicode 0.4 installed in --prefix /usr
I also added /usr/local/lib/dia to ld.so.conf. /usr/lib is also there.
Well, that is the right version. Do you have a file
/usr/lib/libunicode.so.0.0.0
yes
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 144060 Aug 2 10:55 libunicode.so.0.0.0
What system are you running on?
Caldera Linux 3.1
kernel 2.4.18/19
This is really odd. I have to think /usr/lib is indeed searched, or lots
of other stuff would be screaming. Check that you have
/usr/lib/libunicode.so
/usr/lib/libunicode.so.0
if you have
/usr/lib/libunicode.a
try
nm /usr/lib/libunicode.a | grep unicode_init
and see if it finds anything.
