Hi:
I tried to compile dia 0.88.1 on my Ultra5 workstation running Solaris
2.6. Unfortunately, I always had problems when I was doing "make". It
was okay whe I ran "configure", but when I tried to "make", near the
end of the process it told me "argz.h is missing".
I noticed that argz.h is a part of glibc 2.x, which only supports Linux
right now. Does it mean that I need to have Linux to run Dia? I spent
quite some time to download Glib, GTK, Libxml, and GDK-Pixbuf just
because I wanted to try Dia. If it doesn't support Solaris, why
there's no warning before people download it?
I am interested in a Solaris port too, and ran into the same problem. Does the
dependency on glibc mean Dia can only be ported to these platforms:
http://www.gnu.org/software/libc/porting.html
or is there some Autoconf trick to tell the make to use the Solaris C library
instead?
Thanks,
Andy
