error loading dia

I have just down loaded the Dia programs from the Nonags web site. On trying to run the program the following two error messages appear in a dos window. Any ideas?

 

1) Could not create per-user dia directory

2) file gstrfuncs.c: line 160 assertion "string1 !=null" failed
