GNOME 3.5.90 beta development release

Ladies and Gentlemen,

the first beta release of development cycle heading to GNOME 3.6 is
finally available. This means we are officially now in UI Freeze,
Feature Freeze, and API/ABI Freeze, ready to fix small and blocker
bugs; also, of course, we are in String Change Announcement Period.

More details about changes and news for this beta are available here:

The GNOME 3.5.90 release itself is available here:

JHBuild modulesets to compile GNOME 3.5.90 by hand are available here

And now go straight to new development update, 3.5.91, planned
September 05, just few days before the opening of new feature proposal
period for 3.8.

This release is a snapshot of development code. Although it is
buildable and usable, it is primarily intended for testing and hacking
purposes. GNOME uses odd minor version numbers to indicate development

For more information about 3.6, the full schedule, the official module
lists and the proposed module lists, please see our colourful 3.6

Due to recent changes in webkitgtk 1.9.90 related to auto-generate DOM
bindings, Evolution fails to build. We hope developers will be able to
fix this ASAP in our git repository and provide working packages for
3.5.91 release. Other packages (for instance anjuta and
gnome-color-manager) may suffer of similar issues related to change
not yet available in tarball releases.

bugs list for 3.6 on bugzilla:

Happy coding and testing,

PS personal special thanks to Mr Gnu Screen, Lady Open Ssh and the
not-so-ubiquitous Doc Umts.
