TARBALLS DUE: GNOME 3.5.90 Beta Release, The Big Freeze, Release Notes

Hello all,

A bunch of things will happen this week:
1. I'm going to sit in the sun
2. Some commits will be made on git.gnome.org
3. Someone will be wrong

Aside from above, we'd appreciate if the following would happen as well:
$  ftpadmin install yourmodule-3.5.90.tar.xz

Aka: it is time to check if your stuff builds! :D

Aside from doing above, please don't forget that we're doing all kinds
of freezes in one go. We'll also start gathering the information for the
release notes, so please make sure that your NEWS file is updated (we
pull this from your tarball, not from Git!).

The release notes probably include some screenshots, so say if you have
some grandiose plans like e.g. to change the default background, do so
now (<-- BIG HINT).

On to the usual bits. As I'm writing this email in plain text, please
adjust it in your mind to include a yellow background
(http://tieguy.org/blog/2012/08/19/a-quick-note-on-conspicuous-text-also-known-as-all-caps/).

We would like to inform you about the following:
* GNOME 3.5.90 beta tarballs due
* API/ABI, UI and Feature Addition Freeze; String Change Announcement Period
* New APIs must be fully documented
* Writing of release notes begins

Tarballs are due on 2012-08-20 before 23:59 UTC for the GNOME 3.5.90
beta release, which will be delivered on Wednesday. Modules which were
proposed for inclusion should try to follow the unstable schedule so
everyone can test them. Please make sure that your tarballs will be
uploaded before Monday 23:59 UTC: tarballs uploaded later than that
will probably be too late to get in 3.5.90. If you are not able to
make a tarball before this deadline or if you think you'll be late,
please send a mail to the release team and we'll find someone to roll
the tarball for you!

New APIs must be fully documented

Writing of release notes begins
