TARBALLS DUE (before Monday 23:59 UTC!, don't forget translators! awesome executive summary inside!): GNOME 2.20.0 Final Release

[Executive summary: if you don't roll a 2.20.0 tarball for each of your
modules , Andre will go mad and... might sing! Please do roll one so we
can avoid this cataclysm! Or please do it for our translators. Tell the
release team if you are not sure you can do a release in time. Also,
it's generally better to do the releases on Monday so translators have
the last week-end to commit their work. I know, this executive summary
is starting to be a bit too long, but I'm not sure people will read it
anyway, so I can write whatever I want. Including the secret plans we've
prepared to make the whole world speak French, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA. But I
won't tell you about those plans now. They're secret.]

Hi all,

We're going to do it again: deliver a stable GNOME 2.X.0 release on
schedule. Don't forget to create tarballs for this release, it's quite
important to have our latest translations available to all!

Tarballs are due on Monday September 17th before 23:59 UTC for the GNOME
2.20.0 Final Release, which will be delivered on Wednesday.

Please make sure that your tarballs will be uploaded before Monday 23:59
UTC: tarballs uploaded later than that will probably be too late to get
in 2.20.0. If you are not able to make a tarball before Monday or if you
think you'll be late, please send a mail to the release team and we'll
find someone to roll the tarball for you!

We encourage everyone to help with the smoketesting effort, either using
GARNOME or the 2.20.0 jhbuild modulesets that will be published on
Tuesday at http://download.gnome.org/teams/releng/2.20.0/.
If you find a bug that you believe might be a blocker, please send a
mail to the release team.

lists, please see our 2.19 page on the wiki:
