Tarballs are due on 2022-07-02 before 23:59 UTC for the GNOME 43.alpha
newstable release, which will be delivered next week. In order to
ensure adequate testing, core modules should try to release according
to the unstable schedule if they have nontrivial changes. Please make
sure that your tarballs will be uploaded before Saturday 23:59 UTC.
Tarballs uploaded later than that will probably be too late.
Hi maintainers, the alpha release is important! This is the first
version of GNOME 43 headed towards testing distributions like Fedora
rawhide and similar. If your module has changes, we really want to get
those released so they can be tested sooner rather than later. Don't
save your changes for beta. Feed us some tarballs now! Nom nom. Thanks.
Tarballs are due on 2022-07-02 before 23:59 UTC for the GNOME 42.3
stable release, which will be delivered next week. Core modules are
not expected to follow the schedule for stable releases. Instead,
please release when you judge that a new stable release is required.
Modules released before this deadline will be included in the 42.3
update of the GNOME runtime.
Stable releases are cool too. Here you can release whenever you have
fixes that you feel merit a release, and not worry about the schedule.
Michael
