Could the inactive ones be put off some corner as inactive instead of removed?
I have hopes of fixing some of empathy's bugs, and if vast amounts of time ever landed my lap, activity journal was a worthwhile idea.
Maybe there's others who might also want to recover dead projects?
I can put them into projects that need a maintainer?
I was thinking something similar for different reasons. I remember a time when we did a lot of roadmapping on the wiki and probably there is some interesting information somebody might want to see looking back.
Would be a shame to just lose it.
If resources are not an issue (and similar manual work needs to be done anyway) i think any alternative to deletion is nicer - i think we have an "attic" approach for bugzilla and git - without making any statement that these projects are desirable to revive one day.
