3.12 UX Bugs

Hi all,

A bunch of bugs have been put on the 3.12 whiteboard [1] in
anticipation of the upcoming UI freeze. The list contains potential
blockers, as well as bits of polish that it would be nice to get done.
(Note that it's not comprehensive.)

If you're a maintainer, or if you'd like to help us reach the UI
freeze in good shape, please take a look at the list. Also, feel free
to ask if you want a UI review or advice on bugs of your own.
