Colin seems to agree to this as well. I now added a --with-python
option to pygobject and default to "python3" if nothing is specified,
and "python3" actually exists.
I created a bug about the necessary changes to jhbuild:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=687743
I attached a patch to it which explicitly configures pygobject with
--with-python=python3, and add a new pygobject-python2 project to it.
I'd appreciate feedback on that patch; once we settle to a shape/form,
I'm happy to create a patch to switch all the existing dependencies to
pygobject-python2, and then module maintainers can change it back to
pygobject once they verified/fixed their code to work with py3.
Thanks!
Martin
