Your criticism is welcome.  But don't expect people to follow your
recommendation.  That would be demanding, not criticizing.  That's the part
you are misunderstanding I guess.

GNOME is run as a meritocracy.  Whoever does the job gets to decide how to do
it.  Accept it and move on.  Or do a better job.
