I would actually love to see this. It solves a big problem with a
project I'm working on. Problem is that I need to display a large amount
of data and a panel applet just isn't meant for this (especially since I
can't assume the panel is horizontal). Right now, I was thinking of
hacking up a window and making it always sit in the background (so
"Always on bottom"), but this would help me out a lot.
I'm excited about it :).
