Hi, I do fully agree with you. Linux Mint include a kind of slab menu which include the traditionnal categories. See : http://linuxmint.com/pictures/screenshots/bianca-2.2-beta014/08.png (server lag due to beta release). Anyway, i find the menubar the most usefull and well designed menu i ever saw.
