Jan Arne Petersen beat me to it, and provided a patch that should have
fixed this nasty bug for good; obviously, the more testers, the better.
I've released 2.18.1 containing this fix, so packagers will either have
a new release to play with or will just need to apply the patch attached
to that bug.
