IMHO, the program on that list that most likely should become a part
of regular gnome is beagle. I haven't seen tracker yet, gonna take a look
at it later.
Tracker is listed as being on version 0.0.4, and I couldn't find much
information
about it's current status. Anyone has information regarding it's
current status ?
Basing my judgement only on the freedesktop page for the project, it doesn't
seen to be ready for release with gnome 2.16.
Beagle so far seems to be quite stable, and could perhaps make the cut.
But what I would really like to know is if there are any guidelines about how
to decide whether an application should become part of gnome. If there isn't,
then perhaps it might be helpful to write something down, just to help guide
any future decisions.
