According to [1], the CC 3.0 licenses should be available very soon.

People using the CC-BY license should consider using the BSD license
instead. Its wording isn't specific to software and it is perfectly
suitable for artwork.

For people looking for a copyleft license, things are more difficult.
The GPL isn't that bad for artwork only meant to be distributed
electronically, but artists generally don't like the "preferred form of
modification" wording of the GPL. There's also a "Free art license" [2]
which seems free but its wording isn't nice [3].
