gnome-autogen.sh / the gnome common macros aren't just useful for things
from gnome cvs. You can also use them in your own gnome programs;
nothing says that you have to have gnome modules from cvs when
developing programs against the platform. IMHO, gnome-common is part of
a sane gnome development environment, and should therefore be released
and packaged.
