Probably no good reason, I've set it because the icons alignement is
broken (which is ugly) and the hang issue is easy to get for the
submitter. Apparently that's not reproducible for everybody, I've
changed the Milestone for the moment.

Really easy to get with the current devel releases here, Vincent Untz
known about the issue. #128317 has a patch that fixes the issue here.

Right, I've added a comment on the bug. According to the Debian's
maintainer gnome-volume-manager doesn't handle dbus restarts at all.
There is a patch in bugzilla for that for some time:
