I fully support polypaudio as a replacement for esound in GNOME. I have been
packaging it for Debian and Ubuntu, and testing it on my machines for quite
some time now, and am *very* impressed. It's simple, robust, and presses all
the right buttons for me (libsndfile, libsamplerate, etc). Lennart has even
been working on a gstreamer sink for it. Rock. :-)
