When we were in the feature-based, not time-based, release
days, there were some, erm "quite long" delays at times. We
have had periods a lot longer than six months of providing
absolutely nothing in the way of a co-ordinated release
which people could download and hope to install.

By comparison, six months and a clear idea of dates sounds
eminently reasonable to me!

What Malcolm said.
