As it was described there it sounds fine.  Since Mozilla 1.6 will include the ability to just use a GtkPlug for the top of a plugin, I'm not sure you need anything in Mozilla to support bonobo other than a nice plugin.  Given that I'm not sure why I need to sign off on anything. :)  Sounds like you guys are doing fine on your own.
