libsoup and e-d-s can be considered separately if need be. It would make
sense due to the fact that the clock applet can use e-d-s.

The "Ximian" branding is totally removed afaik. There are other apps
in the desktop that still include general named branding, so I don't
think it is a major issue. Certainly not enough to prevent inclusion.

There is a patch. I am not sure if it is in yet or not, but if not, it
should be going in within the next few days.
