No-one else? No?
Well, start up xnest with a 800x600 sized windows, or be brave
and actually start your entire Gnome up with that. And use a panel
of the default size.
I feel sure you will notice then.
And the annoying thing is that on that kind of resolution, those
"few pixels' difference" make a very big difference indeed.
I am sure I have a write-up of a Miguel talk from a Guadec which
had a slide about working on 640x480. That was 2001. Have we
abandoned that goal? Should I put a little "Historical note:
we have given up on this" next to that?
