gnome-applets unconfigurable

I just redownloaded gnome-applets HEAD. Running ./autogen.sh fails.
Apparently, all Makefile.am's in the docs of all applets refer to
xmldocs.make, which has been removed. Shouldn't they be changed to
applet-docs.make? Or something?

However, the Changelog seems to suggest that such a change _has_ been
made. Am I getting a bad cvs checkout?
