He's suggesting renaming Preferences to Personal Settings. GNOME does
have a Preferences menu. Red Hat in fact uses the GNOME upstream menu
structure.

Plus the topic of the thread is establishing an upstream, GNOME answer
to this problem of how to present system global vs. personal settings.
