On the subject of gnome-themes, incidentally, we'd be happy to consider
submissions of High Contrast versions of any launchers or other themable
icons that'll be in the 2.2 release that don't have them yet... there
will be a few holes otherwise.
The required style should be fairly obvious from the existing high
contrast icons that jimmac, tigert and Suzanna have designed: black,
bold (no lines narrower than about 4 pixels when viewed at 48x48),
simple, and easily-discernible (for somebody with poor eyesight) from
any other icons that are likely to appear near it.
