It's likely that this is more or less what will happen.  The release
team will be sitting down over the next few days to decide which changes
can be targeted for 2.0.0 (mostly fixes that don't affect docs, or
string fixes that the docs team themselves suggested during the review),
and which ones will be considered for later releases or tossed out
altogether.
