gnome-session-2.0.2 problem

I've noticed that gnome-session-2.0.2 splash screen has a few seconds of
delay before the desktop appears. The previous version did not have this
problem. New feature or bug?

Also, one question about versions. Since gnome-2.0 came out several
packages have released version 2.0.1, 2.0.2 and so on. For the official
release of gnome-2.0.1 these packages be up to 2.0.5 or more? This is a
bit confusing. Maybe you should go back to naming the official releases?
