Removable media indexing is partially implemented i.e. can be achieved
using the tools currently shipped. Implementing proper support is in
the TODO list.

Archive files are already recursively indexed.
No one I know is working on rar and 7zip indexing.

Not planned.

There were proposals for such features and relevant discussions can be
found in the mailing list archive and/or bugzilla. But nothing has
been planned. IMO, this kind of feels like a specialized image
indexing software and not quite all-desktop-data search service.
