Yeah, I think that is what I meant, but I filed this so long ago, I can't exactly remember. It just seems to me like ignoring part of the text it indexed would have to be deliberate, not a bug.

It's probably just a bug. If I'm understanding you correctly, the
text of the conversation is searchable, but the buddy names themselves
aren't? And this only happens with HTML logs turned on?
