Ah, ok.  I bet you have sqlite 3.3.0 installed, and 3.3.1 is the version
which re-adds threading support.

Unfortunately the pkgconfig file for 3.3.1 only says 3.3, so we can't
check specifically for the right version.  I just assumed since 3.3.x is
alpha that people probably wouldn't have it installed.  I've filed a bug
with the sqlite folks and I'll fix configure.

That won't change anything; the problem is sqlite3.
