Hi
  The memory usage would be high during initial indexing. A lot of
work involving scanning files/directories and parsing/indexing the
contents happens during this stage and its beagle needs quite a bit of
resources. But I should say, resource consumption is improving with
each subsequent release. Also, using more recent mono releases can
help with the memory utilization. Once the initial indexing is done,
you can expect a quiet beagle

That said, just curious to know what figures are you seeing for the
memory usage of beagle ? Both the output as reported by top and free.
