It may be a helper app, but it's not just debian. I'm running the latest CVS under gentoo (on AMD64) and have the same issue:
Debug: Done crawling '/home/jdaluz/Tori Amos/Tori Amos - photo Gallery'
*** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (!prev): 0x0000000001a92bb0 ***
Debug: The daemon appears to have gone away.
Debug: Shutting down helper.
Debug: (1) Waiting for 1 worker...
Debug: waiting for server '/home/jdaluz/.beagle/socket-helper'
and
Debug: Done crawling '/home/jdaluz/Saved Web Pages/_files'
*** glibc detected *** malloc(): memory corruption: 0x00000000019b1c40 ***

I run Tomboy all day and don't have any crashes like this. I use both Banshee and F-Spot on occasion, and neither crashes with this error. I'm running mono
1.1.9.2 and glibc 2.3.5 (not
2.5.3).
