Title :
Hello Everybody
Beagle starting from yesterday stopped showing matching gaim log entries in
search results.
beagle shrunk gaim log index from 2542 to 842 and Indexing service index from
2871 to 727 (why?).
before that i done the following,
i disabled lot of system services,
currently disabled system services are
Process accounting
AT batch job daemon
autofs
Bluetooth
CUPS printer daemon
gpm (aka console mouse services)
HP Linux Imaging and Printing
ISDN
ksysguard
lircd
mdadmd
mDNSresponder
nfsboot
nfsserver
nmb (aka NetBIOS naming service over IP)
nscd (aka Name Service Cache Daemon)
pcscd
Postfix
Powertweakd
rpasswdd
rsyncd
cyrus-sasl2 auth daemon
OpenSLP daemon
smb
smbfs
sshd daemon
X Font Server
Xinetd
xntp (aka network time protocol daemon)
ypbind.
i updated current zlib
i updated to Firefox 1.0.6 ,
after knowing something wrong happending i rolled back these updates
and created a new irc account in gaim in a new user account and
enabled beagle for that new user account, and i for testing purpose
logged to a non-existance channel, and typed something after
enabling logging in gaim, there too beagle index what i typed but not
shown it in search results
actually beagle indexes gaim log, (beagle logs witnesses that)
but both beagle-query nor best not showing match results,
please help,
it seems very hard to debug,
beagle version 0.12
mono version 1.1.8.1
gaim version 1.3.0
i didn't update these packages,
Raghu GS
