Yay progress!

You should have always been seeing the popup window for logging in. If
you were not seeing that previously then its a packaging bug.

However, I think the root cause is that I have never used, nor tested
Conduit with a proxy configuration. Can you please file a bug on
bugzilla.gnome.org along the lines of "Conduit should respect Gnome
proxy settings"
